Providing beds and essential home furnishings for children and families in need
February 4th, 2014 - From everyone here at the Furniture Bank we would like to thank Perfect Touch Painting & Design for their generous donation. Not only did they give our warehouse a make over, but this latest donation allowed us to integrate some long needed improvements to our building. Thanks again!
December 8th, 2013 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! The weather outside has been frightful, and the extreme winter conditions unfortunately forced us to close down for a few days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to serving the community in 2014!
December 5th, 2013 - Detroit News columnist Neal Rubin visited us the day after Thanksgiving and came along us as we delivered beds to a mother who needed them for her young children.Click here to read the article. The family featured is one of 1,200 we will serve in 2013, including more than 2,700 adults and 1,300 children in total. This year we will provide 8,000 items of furniture to families living in poverty, transitioning from homelessness and fleeing crisis situations... as well as families like the one in the article, who are working hard but just need a little help.

Each year, Furniture Bank helps more than 3,000 families to furnish the foundation for a successful life. This means we impact the lives of thousands of children… including these young artists who shared their creativity with us while their families picked up the furniture listed.
The Furniture Bank's Keep on Trucking "Community Equity" Campaign seeks to raise $75,000 in support of the organization's compelling mission to provide beds and essential home furnishings to children and families in need. Money from the campaign
will be used to adequately fund the Furniture Bank's trucking needs, help underwrite the cost of receiving bulk furniture donations, further improve our ability to prevent the spread of bed bugs, and make other improvements to our programs.
Please help us keep on trucking by making a donation today!
